Abstract

This paper analyzes the impact of collation of aggregate and transport packaging on the efficiency of supply processes in the food industry. The research is based on the application of the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method for supplier selection and evaluation of criteria such as quality, price, and reliability. Pairwise comparison of criteria was conducted using Expert Choice software, while CAPE PACK was used to simulate packaging arrangements in order to improve the utilization of transport capacities. The results show that optimal collation of packaging reduces the number of pallets and transport costs, and accelerates delivery time, thereby confirming the hypothesis regarding the logistical efficiency of this approach. The paper also emphasizes the importance of integrating quantitative methods into logistics planning and decision-making.
